Bank - Can I claim a refund?

Hey!
I sent some money to Canada, which costed me £25 in international payment fees. The bank refunded me the money I sent to Canada because it was returned by the recipient bank, because the beneficiary name was different to the account differ (because the guys name I sent money to had a Chinese name and an English name).
Anyways, the bank didn't refund my £25, and was wondering whether I would be able to legitimately claim this money back given that they didn't fulfill the service of transferring the money.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ben.

You could try to claim it off the Canadian bank buying don't holdup much hope of that.
As for your bank, they followed your instructions and attempted to transfer the money to the person that YOU stated so fulfilled their obligation so see no reason for a refund.
They carried out an international transactions film for you, not their fault that it failed..0 -
Who put the wrong beneficiary name? If it was you, then no - the bank did their bit and transferred the money to Canada. It's not their fault you sent it incorrectly.
Alternatively, look at their T&Cs to see if it says anything about failed international payments and what will happen with the fees.0
