Euro Parking Services letter before court action sent recorded delivery

Hi all, just after a bit of advice really, back in february i received a ticket on my windscreen for being parked in a small free car park outside a tesco express but i wasnt in a bay. I had 2 letters way back which i ignored and then recently ive recieved a letter by recorded delivery which states if i dont pay £160 within 14 days they will instruct gladstones solicitors to commence proceedings. Are they actually taking people to court now or is it a scare tactic. Any advice would be much appeciated. Thanks.

Euro are really going to town, wasting money on recorded delivery

The parking ticket was probably no more than £100 and the £60
is an add-on, probably involving the magical DRP who are jokey
    debt collectors

This is the clue, Gladstones are incompetent solicitors who
the courts think are a joke as well.

Tesco express ...... I had the same a couple years ago with Tesco
where the same was said and the white lines were so faded in the
sunshine you could not make much out.
I asked the PPC to offer more proof and they sent me pictures of
the car parking spaces but ..... the lines had been repainted and
my car was not even seen.

I accused the CEO of a scam and within hours it was cancelled.

    Try it, it works wonders
    ceo.customerservice@tesco.co.uk

Also, Tesco are using their own staff to photograph cars and pass
    the data to the PPC
  • To be honest i recieved the recorded delivery letter about 3 weeks ago and ive just ignored it up to now. Im now a bit worried about it all and dont want to end up going to court. I was literally parked for 5 minutes whilst i ran into tesco. I wasnt blocking anyone but it just wasnt a marked out bay. Do you know if euro are actually taking people to court? Im a bit unsure what to do now to be honest as ive never had to deal with anything like this. I had a read through the newbie thread but it was all a bit confusing. Thanks for your reply and any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you are not prepared to go to court and fight the scam, await real court papers then pay up.
Also start saving up, because bullies and scammers come thick and fast in the grown up world.

My suggestion, front up and refuse to be scammed, fight back.

Look, so what if you were not parked in a marked bay.

The common sense way is to complain to the CEO and yes,
you can call this a scam to him.
It's a case of do you want future business or not
    please cancel this ticket

We cannot say if Euro will instruct Gladstones

If you decide to pay, you will be supporting the scam which is
    approved by Tesco

You will get all the help here to defeat Gladstones/Euro
  • I am prepared to go to court if i had to but ive just had a son and i didnt really want the stress of it all but if you think i can go to court and win then i will do so. In your opinion is it likely i will recieve court papers then?

We do not know, the minds of these scammers is still a mystery

However, you must understand how the scam works
Read these two blogs which are fact

Gladstones Solicitors lies catch up with them
    http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2016/09/gladstones-lies-catch-up-with-them.html

Euro Parking Services Ltd fail to turn up in court
    http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2017/02/euro-parking-services-ltd-fail-to-turn.html

By Tesco allowing these scammers to operate and scam
Tesco customers shows the contempt they show customers

Use the above links to show the Tesco CEO all about Euro and
    the harassment they employ

Yes but we win 99% of the time when people stick around and take advice not only on their defence, but also about their witness statement and before the hearing. If the car was only 5 minutes then the operator should have allowed a reasonable grace period to read the signs.

What you do NOT say is that the driver only nipped to Tesco...so edit/delete that NOW and I will too.
