Oxford hotels - Help me!

Hi

I need a hotel in Oxford for 2 nights, mid-week in November. It needs to be within walking distance of the town centre. Money-wise... cheap is good (!) but if it's really nice I don't mind paying a little bit more. I'm thinking no more than £150 in total, but I realise that might be being a bit optimistic :rolleyes:

Can anyone give me any ideas? I've been looking on trip advisor and lastminute.com but I'm no nearer Please help!

Edit: Car parking isn't important as I will be getting the train. And I am going for work purposes so it doesn't need to be near touristy things.

I believe "The Four Pillars" is very nice, not stayed there myself as it was already fully booked on the weekend I went. I've had it recommended though:D

the four pillars is good BUT aboutr 10/15 mins outsiede the centre,try the Churchill

try the Randolph thats right in the centre of town not sure of prices though!!!

Malmaison is very nice its a converted old prison think its quite pricey though that also in the centre of town in a brand new complex of bars and restaurants and around november time they have an out door ice rink there

There are quite a fewnice bed and breakfasts in oxford that may be worth checking out!!

I stayed there a few years ago and it was superb. We went in the summer so the walk into the city was really nice. We went into the city along the road and came back along the river, which runs just behind the hotel.
