You have to do some reading before you wwill get proper replies.

1. Go to the NEWBIES thread at the top of the forum.
2. Read it and remember the abbreviations.
3. Look up POFA 2012
4. Read some other threads to see what information we need to help.

As well as the above advice, you should edit your post to remove information about who did what. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper who are two different people. ;)
Parking scammers monitor these fora.

Once you have done this, and when you have read the NEWBIES, you should send the IPC template in black you will find there.
If this was a windscreen ticket, wait for the NTK. If it was a NTK then appeal straight away. Do not miss the appeal deadline.

Copy and paste and send. Do not edit it and do no reveal the driver's identity.

In addition to the above please note the following is totally immaterial to your appeal:

......showroom after 9pm, the showroom was of course closed at the time and there were other cars parked there.

I'm wondering if anybody knows the in's and out's of the private parking tickets

Yes we do, that's why we have a thread called 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQ FIRST'!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
• Hi all,

I've read through the newbies forum and back last Summer when I received a ticket through the post from CPM and challenged the PCN with one of the letters advised on the forum. Obviously they completely ignored the challenge and have been sending letters demanding money ever since and I received one a couple of weeks ago from Gladstone Solicitors of course demanding payment.
I've read on this forum and around a few others losing the battle with Gladstone is very rare but I'm unsure whether now I just continue to ignore until I'm summoned with some sort of court date?

Any advice would be helpful. Scan of letter attached below.

Thanks!

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences.

Parking Eye, Smart and a smaller company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Lega;, (who take hundreds of these cases to court, and nearly always lose), who have also been reported to the regulatory authority.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.

From duplicate thread (let the other die), all subsequent posts about your case on this one please.

It's a debt collector letter utilising a Gladstones letterhead - common practice. Also the 3xxx reference number gives it away as a DRP communication. Real G's letters have reference numbers 1xxx - if you get one of those, treat as a LBA and deal with it as per the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #2.

You can ignore the current one you have - standard advice for all debt collector letters - NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #4.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
