Iphone5s - sky.com email account not working

I had a new screen on my iPhone 5s last week installed by Apple at the Genius Bar. I did a back up before the screen was repaired. I then restored the phone from back up after the screen had been repaired. However, the email account isn't working as no messages are coming through and all my old messages in my inbox aren't there in the handset. The email account is with sky.com. So I deleted the email account then I set it up again but still no luck. Can any anyone help. Thanks.

Might just be coincidence as if you can login you surely should have all your data still stored by sky? (Unless your app client is set up to delete mail from the sky server relying on messages etc. being stored on your phone.)
Maybe best trying to contact them to get them to check your account!........good luck! If your data is only on your phone they might be able to help recovering it from your backup but I have found the sky community forum much better with help than the company who's support IMHO is pathetic.
If you think you can access your account fine and it is just empty confirm that by sending yourself an email.0 -
I had to manually change the sky email settings on my iPhone. Check the account settings:
Host name for incoming mail - imap.tools.sky.com
Outgoing mail server - smtp.tools.sky.com
In advanced:
Use SSL - On
IMAP Path Prefix - /
Sever port - 993
Check that against what you currently have - I had to change ours to the above to bring in email to the phone.0 -
Just to say that I found the sky community forum a massive help on the above, seems to be a common issue.0
