Scaffolder demanding extra money

Well the OP is a consumer so if he said I want it for 4 weeks then it would be up to the scaffolder to chase it after 4 weeks.
Op if you want it removed without paying treat it as abandoned goods.
There is a process that you need to go through for abandonment, but essentially you can charge them reasonable daily storage charges until this process is complete. Seek advice on abandonment from your local CAB.
Once they know you mean business they will soon have it removed.0 -

I think scaffolder is overcharging here. The majority of the cost in scaffolding is in the erection and the the strike. An additional 4 weeks should be closer to £100-150 tops IMO.
I agree with bris. If you had an agreement to at 4 weeks he should have called at 4 weeks and said it was extra to have it for longer or came and taken it down. Yes it would be prudent to have called him but hes the professional here not you.
For less hassle I would go with Davesnave's recommendation.0
