Plumbing question about bath fillers

OK
Feeling a bit stupid, having recently bought a bath filler (from overflow type) off ebay and having gone to fit it today, discovered that the taps are not part of the filler.
I'm sure to all the plumbers out there you're thinking - idiot! But to quite a few I suspect they wont even know what I'm on about at all.
Any way having discovered that I now need to buy taps to go with the filler, I've discovered that I have a new problem - I don't know what the name for the type of taps I'm looking for is. And not knowing the name of something is causing huge problems when googling.
So ultimately I'm looking for the official name for 3/4 inch wall mounted bath taps. Ie I want the name so I can google them and and then buy some. For those who don't know what I mean at all I'm looking for taps that look pretty but rather than water coming out of the top, turning the tap simply allows water to flow through the out of sight pipe. Basically a pretty stop valve.

Possibly called a "deck mounted valve"? I'm getting some hits with this - but there may still be a better name to search for. There is no intelligent life out there ... ask any goldfish!0

It is a valve.
Deck mounted or wall mounted as appropriate.
You have diverters if you want it to run a shower head as well, etc.
There are some that have the 'tap' included but they're bulky and I think you'd smack yourself on them.
I hope your filler is satisfyingly expensive. It does involve extra plumbing and the last thing you want is to be accessing the back end of a fitted bath to replace fillers and pipework. Buying from ebay is not the first place you'd equate with quality, even though it is available.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

good question, assumed they ran off a thermostatic valve, the bath I have chosen isn't suitable for a combine overflow filler so didn't look much into them, what connections does it have? one I looked at simply had two 1/2" connections on side but was just examining it on a website.0

Simplest solution will be this sort of thing:

I am not condoning or recommending this particular company nor product - just the first example I though was appropriate

You need this if you don't want taps - https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/premier-freeflow-bath-filler-e301?campaign=googlebase&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIgbuUzYz61QIVSZPtCh20_AC4EAQYBCABEgJFefD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds0

What I linked to doesn't need taps, the over flow is also the taps so you have nothing but the overflow.0
