  • I know its been asked a couple of times, but where do you get your jars and bottles. The ones I've seen are £3 or £4 each, which if you want to give 2 or 3 things, seems quite expensive.
  • I've heard that Asda are doing Kilner jars for £1 each at the moment which will look nice.

The food hamper I'm making for my OH's parents is going to include

    Homemade chocolate mint crunch
    Mugs with hot choc sachets
    Mini bottles of wine
    Mini pots of jam
    Box of chocs
Homemade microwave rum and raisin fudge
Homemade white chocolate and cranberry cookies
    Homemade caramelised onion chutney
    Nice cheese
    Crackers

I'm guessing I'll need to start making the chutney now? I'm also making chilli oil and chilli vodka for my OH, I don't want to make the vodka yet as I heard it gets extremely hot if left for too long, but should I make the oil now to give it time to infuse?

  • Also, I am considering buying some dried Naga chilli pods off t'internet to put in the chilli hamper, and am considering using them in the chilli oil, how much do people reckon I would need to put in? They are the hottest chilli in the world, so would obviously need less than normal dried chillis, but would still want it to have a nice kick!
