Ive been framed.

My fault really. I was doing 30 no more on a 30 road, I saw the mobile speed trap a long way before hand. As I passed the trap I gave the guy a wave.

Just recieved a speeding fine notice saying I was going 35. Untrue but for being a A-Hole Theyve framed me saying I was going 35.

speeding tickets are handled on pepipoo, as this place deals with parking.
quick question: what vehicle was it? as had it had any modifications to the wheels/tyres that could cause a speedo error?
if you have a smartphone/satnav you should be able to check the vehicle speedo using a gps app if safe and legal to do so

My car is a 08 Corsa. No mods etc.

I definitely wasnt doing 35. I saw the mobile parked up way ahead of me and took a look at my speedo. I was on the 30 marker. But as I passed the mobile I gave him a silly wave out of the window.

No way am i getting out of this. ill take the speed awareness and grin and bare it but in future wont be waving at no mobile speed van

I've had a look though the lens of one of these devices, they can spot you a good distance away, maybe half a mile, and record your speed. I would say that unless you drive with binoculars strapped to your face they have a better chance than you of being the one who clocks the other first. The guy manning it actually said people slow as soon as they see him, long after he has zapped them, and having a go myself I believe him. If they operate on a straight bit they will be hitting you the second you come into view / over the brow / around the bend. Ask to see the evidence.

You maybe right. Some things you just have to accept and move on!
