Schroder Oriental Income (SOI)

I recently have started to hold Schroder Oriental Income in my long term income portfolio, as others have said in this thread for the blend of growth and dividends.



I am doing a bit of cleaning up so to speak and have around £3000 in Newton Asian Income the last few years when Jason Pidcock was the manager. I feel now with my IT portfolio progressing along to sell out of the Newton Asian Income Fund which I have not added to in a good while and move the funds across to my Schroder Oriental Income IT.


I also looked at Aberdeen Asian Income and Henderson Far East Income as a complement holding. I felt Aberdeen was not adding much different overall, but thinking of the dividend of Henderson being higher with the view of re-investing until taking the income.


At the moment I think my Newton Asian Income funds would be best moved to my Schroder Oriental Income IT, nearly of my income portfolio is IT's now and I'll think on the case of the higher dividend added along side of Henderson Far East.
