Making good inside around bifold doors

We had bifold doors fitted and to save a little said to leave the making good as a relative is our plasterer so we always use him to do our plastering. Doors are in, look great. Inside, you can see the catnic beam across the top of the doors, and exposed brick that was cut back down the sides, along with cavity closers that have been fitted.
What is the next step to preparing it for plaster? Ultimately finishing with plasterboard obviously, but is it just plasterboard straight onto the cavity closers and catnic beam?

You say obviously finishing it with plasterboard, but you do not have to do this. If you are looking for sound insulation, air tightness and solidity you would be looking at plastering. Plasterboard is the quick, cheap, de-skilled route and you have to decide if this is what you require.0

If your relative is a plasterer, let him deal with it. I agree with Furts, you'll get much better air tightness with a proper base coat and skim.0

Sorry guys, i meant plasterboard and then skimming over it to finish it. What i meant is do i need any typre of insulation first, and hows best to fix the plasterboard to the cav closers and catnic?0

We know you meant plasterboard. It's not the best option. Have the wall properly plastered and then finished with a skim coat. The frame itself should have been properly insulated (low expansion foam/expanding foam tape etc. Plaster will fill any gaps.0
