Anything could happen, this is a totally unregulated industry. If they want to chance their arm, they will do. But I must say, from the very few motorbike parking cases we see, the only ones I recall are those slapped with a ticket by a parking chimp.

I think they'd struggle with ANPR capture - but we never say never! :)

If they cannot register a number plate entering, how can they
can they make a claim simply on exit
ANPR is based on times so you were never there in the first
place if no number plate was read by the camera on entry

Such is the magic of the flawed ANPR system

Depends which way they face their cameras. Some take the rear plate on entry and the front plate on exit. Possibly relates to their location in relation to the sun's position during the day?

There are certainly PE cameras near us that face in different directions in different car parks, some rear/front, others front/rear.

hmmm, never seen that but its probably due to the fact that
I never enter a ANPR car park, in my area the cowboys don't
get much of a look in

You know that with some Sat Navs, they pick up speed cameras

Some bright spark should invent a similar system that warns
of ANPR, bet that would sell like hotcakes

They'd never stop bleeping! Sure fire way for the sat nav to get a flying lesson?

They don't detect any VRNs if the numberplate is covered (then the 'offending' accidental item flapping - safely - over the numberplate is removed, once parked, then somehow slipping down again at the back, when exiting).

If everyone did this, PE would be scuppered.

This is known as a double dip.
let me guess, exit 1 was logged as an entrance, and entrance 2 was recorded as the exit the following day?

who ever got that ticket should come down like a ton of bricks on the car park owner, and the parking company, as it had no just cause to access/processes the registered keepers details.
