Wrong licence plate on parking ticket. What should I do?

Hey everyone,
New to the forum, so yesterday I received a parking ticket from UKPC attached to my windscreen in the Trowbridge cinema car park.
Today I went to pay it, I typed in the reference number into the web portal and MY licence plate and it came back invalid, so i tried it over telephone, the automated telephone response, said it was linked to a car with FI(i)0 instead of F10.
I would just like some clarification of where to take this appeal, as this obviously an invalid registration number, not my fault! :rotfl: Parking attendants fault for not spotting correct digit! Because that invalid licence plate won't match up with address!
On the appeal form they want my name and address, I dont want to give them my address incase they can change it?! Surely thats not legal to change it? When it was the attendants fault!
Any help would be great! Thanks

it is thought that they DELIBERATELY put incorrect information on tickets in order to get people to blab by ringing up early and showing their hand, dont fall for it
wait for an NTK in the post in 29 to 56 days and appeal as keeper using the blue text template in the NEWBIES sticky thread
do not reveal who was driving , so file this windscreen ticket for now0 -
Today I went to pay it,
No...surely not.
WHY?! It is a private scam PCN, issued by a nasty bunch of ex-clampers, out to rinse the general public.
Send the usual appeal as set out in the NEWBIES thread, but you will have to post it so take it to your local PO and get free 'certificate of posting' (NOT signed for, not Recorded Delivery or they won't sign for it).
KEEP the cert of posting.
Do not identify the driver.
NEVER pay these!! The ticketer is not a Warden or 'Parking Attendant' in the usual sense = they are scammers.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Im a serial worrier when it comes to things like this! Its why I pay it and dont have to worry about it!
Granted, I didn't display the 'free' ticket, thats why I was going to pay it, But I feel like its the attendants fault he put my plate wrong! Surely thats now a invalid ticket?
If i receive a letter in the post, then I can go back and say well why does the ticket I was given say something else? But then my plate wont match up with the address, so I assume no letter? Aaaahhh I dont know! I'm mad worried !0 -

But I feel like its the attendants fault he put my plate wrong! It doesn't state on the ticket that photos were taken of my car? So i assume there might not be?

They are not legal documents.
Only a mug would pay this bunch of scammers. Never, ever 'phone them.
A different VRN on the windscreen ticket compared to the NTK will be one of several winning points at PoPLA, so wait for the NTK as advised by Redx. In order to transfer liability from driver to keeper, both documents have to have the same details otherwise the very strict requirements of the POFA 2012 have not been met.
On the other hand, if the parking scammer didn't make a note of the real VRN, then no NTK will ever arrive, at least not at your address.
Other appeal points will be No Standing to issue charges, Not the Landowner, and Inadequate signage.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -

So a few days ago i received the NTK, funny enough this one shows the actual plate, compared to the original ticket which was of course the wrong plate, where about in a thread is the advice on what to say when I appeal?
Any help would be great, thank you!0 -

That has a quote in it from post#3.
That quote starts:Send the usual appeal as set out in the NEWBIES thread...0 -
Why didn't you follow the advice in post #3 at the time? If you had then you wouldn't have even received an NTK as you'd be at POPLA appeal by now.
Some dates would be useful:
Date of Windscreen ticket?
Date on the NTK?
Date NTK was received?
By my rough estimate the NTK has been issued out of time ... it's arrived 10 weeks after the date of the windscreen ticket.0
