There are 163 prizes to be won by being the first to spot a lucky yellow AA van in addition to 1 special prize of a £500 Haven holiday gift voucher for being selected as the winner for spotting the shiny rainbow van.
Wherever you see an AA van it's important not to put yourself or other road users in danger if you're going to take a picture.
How to enter
You will need a personal Facebook and internet access to enter.

The competition is open from 8:00am on 25th August 2017 until 11:59pm on 3rd September 2017. The AA shall be the official time-keeper for the Competition, and a computer shall be the official time-keeping device.
To enter you must photograph a yellow AA van with the registration plate clearly visible and post the photograph to The AA UK Facebook page.
Please note that comments posted outside of The AA UK Facebook page will NOT be counted as entries.
If you happen to spot a shiny rainbow AA van driving around, take a photo with the registration plate clearly visible and post it to The AA UK Facebook to be entered into a special prize draw to win a one off prize of £500 worth of Haven holiday vouchers.
Multiple entries are allowed per person. Duplicate entries will be disregarded.
No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win. Making a purchase will not increase your chances of winning.
To enter this prize draw:
You must be resident in the UK.
You must be at least 18 years-old at the time of entry.
You must have a Facebook account of your own.
AA employees together with their immediate family members (including their spouses, biological, adoptive or step-parents, legal guardians, children, siblings, or grandparents, any legal dependents and household members) of the AA, and our partner agencies and companies associated with this competition are not eligible to enter or win.

Winner and Prize
7. Winning yellow AA Vans will be identified and allocated prizes prior to the competition start date.
8. There are 163 prizes to be won by being the first to spot a lucky yellow AA van in addition to 1 special prize for being selected as the winner for spotting the shiny rainbow van.
9. The winners who are first to spot the lucky yellow AA vans will receive one of the 163 prizes. The prize will be sent by Royal Mail 1st class, the AA is not responsible for items not received.
10. The winners of the prizes will be the person who posts a picture of the winning yellow AA van first. Winners will be contacted via The AA UK Facebook page publically within the social media team’s working hours up to and including 4th September 2017.
11. The prize draw winner for spotting the shiny rainbow AA van will be picked at random using Woobox. We will contact all winners via The AA UK Facebook page publically on Monday 4th September 2017. If we don't receive a response from you on our third attempt to make contact within 7 days, we will pick the second person to have spotted the same AA van, where applicable.
12. We will request your phone number and address in order to ensure that we send the prize to the correct person.
13. If the prize is not available for any reason, we will replace it with a prize of equivalent value at our discretion.
14. We don’t allow you to transfer your prize to someone else and we won’t give you a cash alternative.
15. Prizes will only be sent to the Facebook account owner.
16. Prizes will be sent by 15th September 2017 at the latest.
Publicity & Content
17. We will use the details you provide to us when you enter the competition to contact you if you win. We won’t keep your details after the promotion has ended or send you marketing unless you have agreed to this.
18. The winner’s name will be displayed on The AA UK Facebook page. Whilst we’ll try and fulfil our obligations to run the prize draw smoothly, we will not be responsible if something happens that is beyond our reasonable control.
19. We reserve the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify you without notice if you tamper with the entry process or don’t comply with these terms.
20. Incomprehensible and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid and we will accept no responsibility for entries which are illegible, or which fail to be properly submitted. The vehicle registration must be clearly visible in its entirety in the photo. Proof of drafting a comment does not constitute proof of submitting it to the relevant comment.
21. We accept no liability for use of the prize or any loss or damage which may arise from the competition or from the use of the prize. The prize winner fully indemnifies us for any and all losses, liability, action, claim, proceeding, judgment, penalty, fine, damages, fee, cost, charge or expense (including, without limitation, legal fees and expenses) brought, claimedor asserted against us or for which we may be liable as a result of this competition or of taking or using the prize.
22. This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. All the participants in this competition hereby release Facebook of any liability.
23. These terms and any issues or disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these terms (whether such disputes or issues are contractual or non-contractual in nature, such as claims in tort, for breach of statute or regulation or otherwise) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Safety
You'll see our vans in many places such as parked up, on the way to a breakdown, fixing a vehicle at the roadside, in a car park or on the hard shoulder of a motorway.
Wherever you see an AA van it's important not to put yourself or other road users in danger if you're going to take a picture.
On the move
• If you're a passenger then snapping one of our AA vans is fine but never if you're driving.
• If you pass an AA van at a breakdown on the roadside or hard shoulder don't pull in and stop nearby just to take a picture. Our van will be close to fast moving traffic, in a hazardous location and parked to protect the breakdown scene.
• In quiet streets or car parks, pull in and stop only if it's legal and safe to do so, but don't stop suddenly – always consider other road users.
On foot
If you're on foot, then snapping one of our AA vans is likely to be easier and safer but you'll still need to be aware of traffic and others around you.
• Stay on the pavement or marked footways, well out of the way of moving traffic.
• Be aware of what's behind and around you – it's all too easy to step backwards off the kerb as you frame your snap.
Photographers will need to be sensitive if the van’s parked or working on a private driveway and bear in mind that some people don’t like having their photograph taken.
Terms and conditions
Haven holiday gift voucher
1. The prize of a holiday gift voucher worth £500 can be used against any new 2017 or 2018 Haven holiday booking.
2. If the holiday costs more than the voucher is worth, the booker must pay the difference.
3. The winner is restricted to one prize holiday, which must be booked by the 3rd of November 2017.
4. All bookings must be made by an individual aged 21 or over. Proof of identity may be requested before the prize is awarded.
5. The voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other third party promotion, offer or voucher and can only be booked via the Haven Partnership Sales team on 01442 203099, not online or via a travel agent.
