Homelet referencing to rent a flat

Hi,

I was wondering whether somebody could help. My partner and I are about to rent a lovely flat. We are being referenced by Homelet. It is shown that my check has been completed, not sure about his. We still haven't heard from the agency, and I am very anxious. I am sure his credit check is going to be fantastic. He has got an extremely well paid job. My job contract expired at the end of this month, but this is what has been used for my reference. Also, 1.5 year ago I missed a payment on my personal loan. All was sorted out after 40 days ( that's when I realised that it happened). I have no debts, no credit cards, no loans, as everything has been repaid. I am worried that we won't be given the flat, because of that missed payment and because we are moving and I will need to find a new job.
Can somebody tell me whether it is a big chance we won't get the flat because of me?

Who knows, ask the landlord or letting agency, only they will have the answer.

You could be rich and still not get accepted, what are they looking for in a potential tennant? Only they will know.

Worst case is that they'll just use your partner as the primary reference, but these checks should only be looking for CCJs and Insolvencies, not missed payments etc.

I wouldn't worry too much, so long as you pass affordability, which is more down to the landlord than anything else.
