Experian - Have They Mishandled Your Data Too?

Sorry it's taken so long to reply to the thread.

The situation was resolved by Experian, however not without some/many interesting and lengthily conversations taking place.

The biggest challenge was dealing with an organisation that doesn't recognise me as a customer as I don't subscribe to their products. The lack of onward communication also was an issue, I found out the data had been modified, despite being told it couldn't be, after one particular phone call. Only not to be told at all, and having to enquire when I found out via another credit check by other means.

Experian complaints procedure I will say is thorough, which resulted in confirmation my data had been set straight, measures had been taken to improve the matching process, a reissue of my credit report was given via post and compensation offered and accepted to close the case and complaint.

Persistence I have found to be key in these matters, take notes of calls made (when, how long, who with, key points etc), be thorough, don't take no for an answer if you feel you haven't got the conclusion you deserve.

I'll continue to make of use MSE Credit Club, ClearScore, Noddle and also Barclaycard (who offer scoring from Experian on their credit cards) for checking of my data across the three CRAs
