Synched all my music and Itunes on to my new One+5 and now I find that the majority of tracks will only play if I have an internet connection.
Have I done something wrong ?
Thanks in advance.

Confused
Are you talking about Music hosted on google play, or itunes ?0 -
I thought I was synching my own music from my PC onto the phone.0

You can sync you music to goole play , and then play it from the cloud.
If you want to play it when you are offline, then you need to click the little 3 dots at the side of the track name and choose "keep on device" - then it will cache a copy on your device and you can play offline.
Hope that helps

Thanks Andy - there's a thousand tracks. Is there any way of doing it all in one go ?0 -
OK we're talking about Google Play Music. I had a lot of hassle with the simple task of storing and playing my music on my phone recently - a task that had been very easy before. It has since improved though.
Firstly, consider how much memory those tracks will take up on your phone.
Now, consider making a playlist of the music that you DO want on your phone.
You can then use Andypix's method on that playlist, to download that whole thing. I have an 'iPod' playlist, basically my favourite/most played tracks, that gets synced to my iPod and phone.
Once you've got your music on your phone, you pull over the left side menu, and you can select 'downloaded only' - it'll now only play what's on the phone, saving your data bill.0 -
Im not sure, iv never looked that far into it ..
But this begs the question, if you want them on the device, then why not just load them onto the device in the first place and cut out the middleman ?0 -

For me it's because I use iTunes (yes, yes) for my music. I buy new music, add it to iTunes, maybe add it to a playlist. I've got Google Play Music running on my computer, it syncs the music, and playlist to the cloud. It then downloads that playlist over WiFi to my phone. Saves messing around copying it around but yes, it was more hassle than it should have been to set up.0 -

Good question- and one answered yesterday by someone from ONEPLUS customer service.
It basically involves a convoluted way of getting into developer mode by press the About Phone mode in settings 10 times and a couple of other things but basically I now have a lot of tracks on my phone duplicated and a host of others from my Itunes music file which can play with an internet signal.
Thanks for all the help - got there eventually but it seemed unnecessarily complicated.0
