Esa joint claim and support component

Hi all! Ok so me and my partner have moved in together as I mentioned in previous posts, we have now sent forms off to make a joint esa claim etc.
But I'm a bit worried because I filled the form in last week ( 17th August) and sent them off that day and I filled them in based on the fact that it will be a joint claim from my esa as I get income based and my partner gets contribution based (73.10 a week) .
So yesterday I called up the job centre about a sick note and she told me that the system has my big doeb as being in the support group - I told her that he had a medical assessment in may this year and we were still awaiting the outcome but she said well he's in the support group now which means he must have 'passed'.
He has since received a payment today for £251 which would be the support group rate plus the extra £15.90 support component he's entitled to.
Now, have I ballsed this up for us both by adding him to my claim or should have I been added to his bow I'm guessing he's on IB ESA? Or does it not matter- we haven't had a letter or anything telling us his outcome or that his money has now gone up. I know that he won't get this money on a joint claim but what I want to know is will he still be entitled to his extra £15 support component? The JC have said they have kept his claim open and it will be for credits - does that mean housing benefit and council tax reduction as we claimed that as a couple?
It's confusing when you don't get letters explaining things!
I need to know how much we will be getting as a couple now plus any extra components he will be entitled to?
Thanks in advance x
