Show her the Hansard record of this. MPs are waking up to the cowboy industry and action is in hand:

    http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2017/03/parliament-discuss-unfair-parking.html

and tell her about the new Bill which we as a group are backing and trying to get MPs completely on board.

This is a copy of a post by Bargepole on here:

    "Some action at last:

    http://services.parliament.uk/bills/2017-19/parkingcodeofpractice.html

This Private Member's Bill has Government and cross-party support, and stands a good chance of making it into statute.

The full text of the clauses will be published nearer the date of the second reading, but my sources tell me it's something we should support.

Now would be a good time to write to your MP urging them to support it."

13 page POPLA Appeal now submitted :j.

I've learned so much about this process and now understand quite a lot about parking on private land. Furthermore, I'm quite pleased with "my" statement - (a bit of a descriptive liberty) and I'm hoping for the best. Having started from the point of being completely overwhelmed by the amount of information to read and try to understand on this amazing site, to now having the knowledge to challenge a PPC is very satisfying.

I will now start to compile a letter to my M.P., Lucy Allan, about the PMB and update her on my progress.

Thank you all so very much for the support and encouragement you have given me and others, in the same unfortunate position :T.

Hello again, yesterday I received an email from POPLA saying that Indigo did not want to contest my appeal. Seconds later I received the following email from Indigo -

    Good afternoon.

In light of your recent appeal to POPLA, I have been reviewing the evidence surrounding the above notice.

I can confirm it is my decision to withdraw from the POPLA case and cancel the notice.

Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused.

I certainly do not accept their apologies. The appeal tied me up for many days when I should have been helping to look after my terminally ill father-in-law, during the last days of his life.

However, I am delighted to have this result and extremely grateful to all of you for your advice and encouragement. I haven't heard anything more from my M.P., but I will be passing on this information to her, to my local radio station and anyone else who is interested.

    Thank you once again.

    Best wishes,

    Paul.

There you go. Well done :T.

When you have time, do come back and help with advising others who will be going through the same process. You’d be very welcome, and with first hand experience of beating this scourge, your advice will be very powerful.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
