Bank of Scotland £100???

Bank of Scotland are refusing to pay the £100 incentive for opening an account wth them.
They say that is because I have a Halifax current account yet there is nothing in their promotion excluding such account holders.

The details and link came via MSE email 16th May 2007.

Any body else being treated same way?

Did you read the T&C's (perhaps provide a link here?), Bank of Scotland and Halifax are the same company!

From conditions - "8. The offer is open to new current account customers only and not available to existing Halifax or Bank of Scotland current account holders. New customers opening a joint account with an existing sole account holder will not qualify for a payment."

No Idea I'm afraid. I opened a BOS account and just received my £100 after 3 months, but I have always been under the impression you couldnt have both as they are part of the same group. Check the t+c's but I have a feeling that will be one of the conditions.

I've back tracked to the original link and forward to the application forms and cannot find any ref,to this exclussion. I have also downloaded the t & c's linked to their application and as yet have found nothing barring me!

Can any body quote chapter and verse?
