    Hi,

I don't know if this site has been posted here before, but I use this everytime I go to the USA. I save about 50% on the hotels 'normal' price everytime using this site:

    www.hotwire.com

The catch is that they don't tell you what the hotel name is until after you have reserved a room there, though you can select where exactly you want to stay and it gives you a list of hotels with their star ratings, facilities etc and when you buy it, they then give you all the details of the hotel (as you would normally). I usually just find out exactly where it is, go to google maps and find it, then you get an idea of what it is.

The site explains this more. At first I was a bit dubious, but now wont look back. It really has saved me a lot of money on my trips to the USA.

    hope this helps others

A few of us are planning to go to New York next year. The only problem is one of our group has a minor conviction from around 10 years ago.Now I understand he will have to go to the American embassy to get a visa the question is do we book the holiday first then get the visa ? but then what happens if he is refused. and 2 how hard is it to get a visa ?

    Thanks

Don't risk any of your money until he has a visa.

Depends how 'minor' the US think the offence was.

All the super hot deals will be sold out within the first hour of the sales. People queue up for the top deals even as early as the night before the sale. Don't count on any of the amazing deals being left on Saturday.

However, with the exchange rate, pretty much everything is cheap regardless!

Plus, a lot of these deals come with mail in rebates, and if you're just on holiday, you can't have those rebates shipped home, so you'll miss out on those.
