Redundant 9 days before qualifying for pay
Comments

I worked for an employer who would send me a notification each month of any staff in my team who were coming up to their two years - as a prompt that if they weren't pulling their weight it was time to move them out!Doh! Homer Simon moment. Yes. I mean 23 months.
Out of the 730 days (2 years) I've worked 721 days, 9 days short of the 2 year mark to receive redundancy pay.
Sorry to hear your news. I hope you find something good soon.0 -
In terms of redundancy, If the company is in severe financial problems then a pay cut and redundancies is to be expected. If they aren't in severe financial difficulties then the redundancy may count as unfair dismissal, you need to talk to citizens advice or ACAS.
Redundancy can only happen when there are too many people for the available jobs or a particular job is no longer required. With less than 2 years service the OP could simply have been dismissedIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
