Moneymaker! Be a sperm donor!

Options
Less money saving and more money making!

Men can earn about £30 per donation! There is a lot to consider, especially because of the change in laws which allow donor identification when the child reaches 18. But there is a shortage of sperm donors, which is making things very difficult for women and couples in need of donor sperm. Not only will you be paid but you colud also make some poeple's dreams of a family come true.

Contact your local fertility clinic you should be able to provide you with more info.

Unfortunately, for women being an egg donor is not so financially beneficial - yet anyway!

Excellent post Jules. This was something that I did as an impoverished but virile student.

Funnily enough I remember the doctor discussing my sperm test when my wife had difficulty conceiving. I thought he was talking about some wine instead of my soldiers!:D "Motility - excellent, defects - very low, count - very high." I was walking around like a peacock for days after that!:D

Wasn't a law passed recently that prevented you from doing so anonymously?

Yes it is, at a Nottingham clinic women get £250 for 'loss of earnings' plus expenses. However, the process is a lot more complex and time consuming than the male equivalent.

Does anyone donate eggs? I wouldn't mind helping another woman have a baby as well as be able to pay for uni equipment but its not something I know alot about (Off to google).

I know someone that has done it. It can be quite painful, and the meds that you have to take can have side effects.

Its no surprise that donor numbers are down, As another ex student donor I wouldnt have done it If I had any idea that there may be a knock at the door twenty years later, the £15 quid a pop I received isnt worth the baggage.

    Thanks for that Dmg :)

Surely there is something inplace to stop any children who turn up 18 years later demanding money or maintenance?
