I'm interested in a potential property to purchase and I'd like to view it. I've telephone the local Harrison Murray estate agent branch to arrange a viewing and they said they had to add my detail into their database first before I could arrange a viewing. This was annoying but I provided my details. On the same day, I also attempted to arrange a viewing on their website by submitting my details. After a couple of days, I called the estate agent again and left a voicemail message. They have yet to contact me.

What should I do? I was thinking of contacting the estate agent's head office to ask why the branch isn't following up my query. The extreme thing to do would be to go to the house and tell the homeowners that I'm interested in the property and the branch hasn't followed up my request to view the property...

Call them again, or go in to the office. If no luck then I'd let the seller know, if you are sure it isn't tenanted.

Forget the website enquiry, they're often useless. Just ring again and say you rang on X date to they a property at X address and hadn't heard anything. Ask if they are doing viewings or the vendors. It is August, maybe they're on hols and don't want the EA telling strangers that. Mind you, many an EA has told me when someone is away and their house is empty!

Are you immediately proceedable, as in ftb or have sold your property and have a mortgage agreement in place? We're on the market at the moment but have asked our EA to try and only do viewings with people who are actually in a position to buy our house. For the first few weeks we seemed to be getting quite a few viewings from people who weren't in a position to buy (and not likely to be anytime soon, e.g. house not even on the market or not likely to be able to secure a mortgage) which is just wasting our time and the estate agents.

Just keep trying. An estate agent shouldn't be failing to answer calls!

I drove past the house as it's in my area and it looked occupied tbh.

    I'm a FTB.

I guess I'll visit the branch on the weekend and see what they say.
