I've just realised that March's payday is Friday 29th...
I never thought my debt free date would be when we Brexit

I Started reading your diary and then got booted so couldn't remember where I got up to so i skipped to the end and you have done so well. You are nearly there:beer: Must be such a relief for you. I can't wait to be in your position x0

Thanks for swinging by marcsshell ! It's becoming a relief! Fingers crossed life doesn't get in the way between now and March 29th. In mountaineering, they say descending is when most accidents happen - let's hope I can descend my debt mountain safely! Just subscribed to your diary - look forward to catching up with you!0

It's payday today which means...
I'm in the £1K's :T
Eeek!
I've chucked £1,000 onto the CC and the new balance is £1,992.64.
85.68% of my debt free journey is complete.
I shall miss it. The urgency, the small steady achievements, the focus and determination. Even the compromises. I've learned such valuable lessons about the true value of money and 'things' through my journey. I never was a materialistic person. It wasn't the big ticket items that got me into debt. I was the frittering and the large amount of smaller purchases. I guess I just didn't have a clue about money.
I will need to put my financial energy into savings. Or paying down the mortgage - thinking of you and your achievements Wish!
I've adjusted my savings totals as we may have some decoration costs this month depending on whether we can get the dude to commit.
I've about £150 in work expenses to claim back. In fact, thinking about it, is probably closer to £200. Some take aaaaages to process, others are within weeks. I need to get my act together and put in the various claims! It'll go straight into savings when it arrives.
Right, back to the grind. Lunch break is over.

Need another break from work. Been WFH today and will probably put another hour or so into the working day. First, a coffee and catch up on all things MSE.
Had a NSD so far but might need to nip out and grab some cream and fries for dinner. Having Swedish meatballs with fries, pickles, lingonberry and the traditional sauce. DF usually makes the sauce and I do the difficult task of putting the fries in the oven and monitoring their crispiness.
Feeling a bit giddy about the debt being so low. I'm almost scared to spend any money, lest it muck up my DFD. It will not risk delays unlike the B word. That said, life can always get in the way, as we all know.
Coffee and snack time. Oooh, what to have...?

It's a good job February is a short month isn't it? You are going to be slightly giddy for the majority of it. And March will only be a 4 week month as well as the 29th is the friday, so I assume your pay day.
So, 59 days??? Is that right?Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)
