If you still have enough time and have enough income to pay at least £500 p.m. into account (no need to transfer salary or maintain some minimum balance) - apply for A&L Premier Current Account. Or for Premier Plus Current Account - £1000 p.m. but you get £25 cashback for application. Both the accounts offer free annual worldwide travel insurance. If you open one joint account both of you get free insurance.

Egg are currently doing an offer of £15 for annual European family cover, so that could be what you're looking for?

There's info on their website at http://www.egg.com/visitor/0,,3_72779--View_1520,00.html

It's technically only for Egg customers - not sure if you are. If not, I've already posted a sneaky way of getting round it in another forum at
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=61613

Hope that helps. Otherwise Insure&Go are always really cheap for good cover at http://www.insureandgo.com/

If you have home insurance then egg.com are doing one years free annual travel insurance for the family(for europe but upgrades are possible.I got the
house building and contents (ac/dam on building),legal cover inc.for £161 this
year.I am an egg customer so I did get 10% more off the price.Of course the £15 seems a perfect solution.Policies are with Axa insurance. :j
