I am copying figures from one spreadsheet to another by entering =+ then pressing return.
However, if I want a block of figures moving eg 5 in a column, it is not working if I highlight the figures and press =+ then return.
How can I copy multiple figures from one sheet to another? (in the same book - so not copying to different books)

If you want to get data from (say) sheet 1 cell A5, into cell b3 on sheet 2 to you:
1. press =+ on b3 in sheet 2 then
2. highlight A5 in sheet 1 and press return
It transfers the data across.
I want a column of figures to appear from sheet 1, and then transfer them to sheet 2.0 -
Surely to do what you want you to do just cut-and-paste by any of at least three methods?0

If I copy and paste, it works for the existing data.
However, if the source data is changed, then the data is not changed in the destination cells.
Or, can I do it by "paste special"?0 -
When you use "=+" you are creating a formula that references the original cell. In fact, you do not need the "+", and "=A3" is the more usual way to enter it.
To do what you want, create a reference to the first item in the list of cells you want to duplicated. Then copy and paste the newly created cell into an area of the same size and shape as the original data, and Excel will create a complete set of references for you.
e.g. you have a list of 5 items of data in cells A3-A7. Go to the destination cell C9 and type "=A3". Then click on C9, and copy it to cells C10-C13. C9-C13 will then have a series of reference like this: "=A3", "=A4"...0 -

Is this not just for references on the same sheet?I want the data transferred from sheet 1 to sheet 2, and if I change the data on sheet 1, I want it to be changed on sheet 2.
Where the reference is on another sheet, Excel will automatically create a remote reference of the form "Sheet2!A3".0 -

Ahh , Thank you , that was a bit clearer lol
It seems your question has been answered now0 -
Copy and paste - Ctrl+C when the cells are highlighted followed by Ctrl+V on target cells.
Or am I missing something?0
