What does inter branch payment mean?

There is a payment going into my RBS bank account dated last Wednesday and cleared yesterday (monday).

There's not much about what this means online.

At first I Thought it meant someone's deposited money into my account via another bank. But now I'm just so confused.

And on my transaction details on my bank statements It bares little information only the date and states what I believe to be the last 4 numbers of my first debit card (now on my third or fourth) from about a or two year ago. I don't know if that's relevant to This kind of payment or just a coincidence?....

Hope you can shed some light
