Would Eon not taking payment effect my credit rating?

I've recently had a new boiler installed by Eon. The payment option I chose was to pay a small deposit and then the rest of the balance a week after the work was completed.
On the contract it says that Eon would call me to arrange the remaining balance but I haven't heard anything from them. I've tried calling them but haven't been able to get through to anyone. It's now been almost a month since the work was finished.
I know they had to do a credit check as I think they were effectively lending me the money until the work was done, so would this effect my credit rating because they haven't taken payment of it? Should I keep trying to call them or should I just wait for them to call me to take payment?

If you have not missed agreed repayments on a credit agreement, then no.
If they don't report to the CRAs, then no.
If you have and they do, then it can appear on your files.0 -
Thanks for the quick reply!
I don't beleive I've missed any repayments and I didn't receive a credit agreement.
They shouldn't report me as they haven't even tried to take payment.
I'm going to wait and check my credit report after it's updated in a couple of days, hoping to see something on the search part at least.0 -

No, it shouldn't work like that. They aren't lending you money, they are doing work for you which is paid on completion. The vast majority of suppliers will do this. There's no credit, so no credit check. Just email them to invoice you.0 -
Perhaps give Eon's Boiler Team a call on 0330 400 1177 open 9am - 6pm, Monday to friday ?***Signature removed by Forum Team***0
