Induction hob problems

Hi chaps - we have recently moved house and installed a new Belling Induction hob, having had an induction before I wanted another, there are a few "control" problems and I'll get the engineer out to look at it.
There is one oddity that I never experienced with our old hob ... the power to a 'ring' fluctuates, so much so that a pan of peas (when set at simmer power level) powers up to almost boil over and then down to barely a simmer every 30 seconds or so .... up and down - up and down.
Can anyone any experience with induction confirm whether this is normal ?

Definitely sounds like a controls issue with the hob - Get it sorted under the guarantee.0

On simmer, I can hear a relay or something clicking on and off every few seconds and my pan of peas simmers nicely.
Is it the same on all the zones?0
