My completion date is in just over two weeks time. When should I expect to receive the completion statement?
Cheers.

Are you buying and/or selling? Have you exchanged contracts?
Most solicitors will send you a completion statement before exchanging contracts, so you are completely clear about all costs you will have to pay. (As opposed to exchanging contracts, and then finding that you don't have sufficient funds to complete.)
For the same reason, most solicitors will ask you to transfer all the required funds to their account before exchanging.
(Obviously, this excludes any mortgage funds, and the proceeds from your sale - if you are selling.)0 -
We received an exact completion statement on exchange of contracts when buying, but had been given an estimate beforehand.0

I'm selling and buying using one solicitor. We have already exchanged. The solicitor said that a statement would be sent out to us 'soon'.0

Ask him how 'soon' as you have to arrange your finances.0

It will be sent once your solicitor (a) has the figures necessary (e.g. they may be awaiting a redemption statement) and (b) has time to get round to it. In short, we don't know - ask your solicitor. If you're expecting to give your solicitors funds then obviously there is more of a need for advance notice than if you're expecting to get money back.0
