Conveyancing - how fast can it happen?

Might be what they 'aim' for, but IMO (and others' on the board) it's more like 12 weeks average. Obviously some will be quick, others slow. One of mine took 5 weeks, another 5 months. I'd still put the average at 12 weeks though.
I would also be interested.
It's all well and good one firm aiming for that timeframe, but there are so many external factors that affect the time it takes that are outside of the control of one individual firm of solicitors.
Sometimes a transaction can be very straightforward, sometimes there will be a reason why one element takes a while to resolve and it's not usually obvious on day one which type of transaction you're involved in.
Therefore I would be sceptical of a solicitor claiming they can be ready within in given period of time, before they knew greater details about the chain and properties involved.0 -
We are due to complete on Wednesday which is exactly 28 days! We used a solicitors who specialize in completing in 28 days and they have been amazing! xx27th October - £1008.86 owed
24th November - £987.02 owed
