Lay Flooring Before or After Washing Machine Installation?

I have recently moved into a empty old property where there is no washing machine so I'm looking at getting one put in. There is currently no floor covering in the property only floor boards/flooring.
A local plumber suggested that the washing machine be put in before the flooring goes down because the pipes will need to be laid under the floor boards - this makes sense. However, I'm a bit concerned about the machine sitting on bare floor board. How difficult it will be to get the flooring done under the machine after it is plumbed in? Do washing machines have castors so that they can be moved easily? Apologies, I'm not clued up when it comes to these type of things. I'm looking at getting vinyl floor put down eventually.
I'd be grateful if anyone with any knowhow could assist regarding general consensus on this matter. Thanks.

Fit the pipes, fit the floor, then fit the washing machine.
Water and drainage pipes may need routing under the floor but there are removable connections behind the machine.0 -

I couldn't quite work it out. You've made it simple. Many thanks for your response.0
