Hot Water Supply to Kitchen Tap is Painfully Slow

I have a traditional system boiler set up for heating and hot water with a cold water tank in the loft, airing cupboard with immersion tank (for storage of boiler heated hot water) etc.
The hot water supply upstairs is fine presumably as in close proximity to the immersion tank.
The hot water supply in the kitchen is painfully slow - I can fill a large watering can with cold water before the hot water supply starts to come through and even then it's tepid. I can usually half fill another watering can before the hot water becomes usable. I mostly resort to boiling kettles as its quicker : )
Is it possible to have a pump fitted that improves the hot water flow or is there another solution.
Thanks in advance.

It's all down to the distance from the cylinder to the tap, the amount of water in the pipe will need to be drawn out before the hot water comes out the cylinder & reaches the tap, a pump won't help, the only way you could do it is by having a secondary hot water circuit installed but that means installing a bronze pump & a pipe from your tap back to the cylinder so not a cheap optionI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Thanks very much for the response Southcoast - the kettle's an easy option as most stuff goes in the dishwasher : )
I'll stick with the kettle for now.

We had this problem and had a pump fitted after the outlet of the immersion heater works fine now tap downstairs and the shower are all really high pressure. I believe it was around £100 from screwfix or something around that figure.0

Meant to say out was more a low pressure issue not a distance from hot water tank issue though.0

Does your hot water feed pipe from the hot water tank to the kitchen tap have insulation fitted?0
