Printer 'Offline' Message - what to do?!

Options
Installed new ink cartridges to sort out a mountain of paperwork I needed to get printed, completed and posted, Printer ran test page and all seemed OK.

If I try to print anything it tells me the printer is 'Offline' and shows the print in a spooling queue.

Have tried reinstalling drivers. leaving printer switched off ect but no change.

Can anyone offer any advice? Printer is a HP Deskjet 3632 with a wireless connection to a Windows 10 Laptop, Might help the more technically minded! :rotfl:

TIA

I assume you have rebooted the laptop. Switch printer off, reboot laptop, switch printer on. Works when my networked printer plays silly !!!!!!s.

May be more than one printer so when you click print (assume you're in Word?) scroll up/down the presented printers list and see if you can find the 3632 which is Online.
If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.

Probably the printer has got a new IP address, goto Settings, Printers and Scanners, Add New.... see if Windows finds it.

HP networked consumer grade printers tend to use Web Services for Devices rather than IP addresses to communicate with networked printers when installing drivers on the computer. Whilst it "usually" works and means no faffing around with IP addresses it can break from time to time. It is best to set a static IP address for the printer in the printer settings and then install the printer using the IP address you just set rather than letting it automagically find it and install using the WSD driver.
