You need to find the key.
If you don't then you will have to pay to have the missing key "unlearnt" and will have to be able to prove you have done this.
If it were stolen, your insurer will ask for all the supplied keys before they will pay out.

Rumour has it that the BMW is still on their driveway being blocked in by the second car to this day and they have been unable to use either car in all that time for fear of the BMW being stolen :eek:

On the insurance part just having a new key supplied should be enough.
