How does a leak from a loft tank get to the ground floor kitchen without (visibly) passing through the first floor.? Or is the tank with the sticking ballc*ck somewhere else?
For both BG and Dynorod to fail to check the tank in the absence of any obvious feed pipe leakage is just plain incompetence, let alone demolishing the ceiling without checking in the loft first, where the water level in the tank would have been up to the overflow and blindingly obvious.
What do you mean by 'an issue' with the overflow.? Missing, blocked?
I suggest you cancel Homecare and find a local plumber/RGI who knows what he is doing.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • Ah it's a complicated house layout. As it's Georgian, the walls are all wood panelled, so a leak wouldn't be visible on its way down, sadly for us. Though it's been a nightmare, DynoRod and BG have been pretty good IMO, it's my house's fault ;)
