My point is the advert says nothing about registering, Their website says nothing and I may have won another £500, 000 if I had known before. I will complain to their to .their ceo . Why are people being asked to register when they know everyone that holds a saving account ? Totally pointless and not needed.

In case there are people who object to being made to be a gambler even when the stakes are £0?

There are certain religions which do not allow gambling, and even non-religious people may object to it. But maybe an opt-out rather than opt-in prize draw might be appropriate.
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Click the link and look at the map, shows the recent winners.

My branch has had a few £100, and one £10,000, in the area, but its a national draw so, I don't think thats too bad, and its only one register and you are in the draw for the following month and the future draws as long as you maintain a balance of £5,000 in a Halifax savings account.

Worth a chance, and no need to remember to buy more 'bonds' or lottery tickets, like other draws do.

£10,000 doesn't appear to be a prize listed. Was this some special draw at some point over the last 6 years?

....except for the prominent large-font bold text on their savings home page (and in some cases the main site landing page) saying "REGISTER FOR A CHANCE TO WIN UP TO £500,000 IN OUR OCTOBER SAVERS PRIZE DRAW!" followed by a button that takes you to the promo page (the one mentioned by Westie983 in an earlier post) where it clearly says:
    Registering and Qualifying

Registering. You only need to do it once.

Registering is easy and you only need to do it once to be entered into all future monthly draws where you meet the qualifying criteria.
If they're trying to conceal the need to register, they're not doing a very good job of it....
