Question .Help please ...

Hey im 17 years of age and have never owed any money to anyone ... seeing as im 17... but today i got an email saying i owed lowell portfolio £374.03. And it says if i dont give then it by 25th august they will come to my house... seeing as im 17 i clearly dont have the money to give them this . But even if i did, i dont owe any money to anyone... what do i do?

    You ask for clarification and point out you are 17 and would not have been in a position to take out any sort of credit. Are you sure it is not a spam email? Did it actually have your details on it? If it is spam just delete it.

    Assuming it is a genuine email, which actually i now doubt, You dont need to respond to it.

    You can ignore it.

    You only need respond if someone writes to you.

    They must write to you by letter to ask for payment of a debt, and to threaten a doorstep visit in a first contact just smells like spam to me.

    Post the contents of the email and i`ll tell you if its spam or not, remove your personal details first.
