On the simply media competitions, Mumsnet is now Winning Families and Pirate FM is now Win 50.

Thanks Marg2K8. For the smaller prizes of "Win £50", for instrance, is there still only one prize across the whole of the CTWs? Crikey. No wonder I'm not winning anything... Cheers

The prize (or prizes) are spread across all the sites featuring the competition - usually with vouchers etc the entry box will say is there is more than one prize - for example

Win 1 of 4 £50 Amazon vouchers

(available on about 110 sites)

sometimes it is within the actual competition text

Win Take Shelter on Blu-ray

Take Shelter....we have three copies up for grabs

(available on 60 plus sites)

They have one prize of an Amazon Echo dot (despite their claims of a £50 value it is generally available for £35 or less and has been £29.99) on 100 plus sites

Thanks. With the "Win 1 of 4 Amazon £50 vouchers" you've just mentioned, I get that there will be four available - but you're suggesting there is only one comp (of 4 vouchers) to be picked from 110 sites. No wonder the odds are so slim...

Yep, every entry from the 110 sites will be pooled and the 4 winners will be picked.

In every case the entries from every entry route are pooled and the winner(s) picked

Thanks to the kind MSE'r who sent me a PM, there is a new Simply Media site called Uni Wins. It does not appear that you have to be a university student to actually use the site.

I see now there is a click to win with £1000 prize where you can enter every hour! I don;t think I'll be bothering, except for just one entry. It's on loads of sites too.

Approx 109 sites, still 38 days to go @ 24 entries a day gives almost 100,000 possible entries per person.

Hi all

Just responding to the comment below about us not notifying winners - we absolutely do

In the first instance winners are notified in their My Account
After a few days if we haven't received a claim we will email the winners
We will then keep attempting to reach the winner using alternate email addresses as well (in case our first ones go into spam/junk) and then we will also try and reach winners via Facebook if we have no success.

We have given away almost 1000 prizes in the two years we have been running and only a handful of prizes haven't gone to the original winner due to them not claiming and us being unable to reach them despite numerous efforts.

We are a very small team who works extremely hard to bring free prizes to our users. We do absolutely everything we can to ensure prizes go to winners so please don't think that we don't notify winners because we do :-)
