Does anyone else have the feeling that the Click to Wins sites are slowly dying ?
We have fishing mags with no fishing comps.
Outdoor mags with no outdoor comps.
Golfing mags with no golfing comps
etc, etc, etc .....
The prizes (with some few exceptions) are now low value.. £9 knife sharpeners,.. 30 quid dash cams etc, .. and the comps seem to be up for weeks if not months (or so it seems) just to have something there.
Hope I'm wrong as I've set a target to win something from them (mainly because I've won naff all from anyone for the last couple of years):rotfl:
Good luck to you all.

Slowly dying?
Previously they had competitions running at the same time worth £3,000, £500, £700 with just one entry route, others worth £500 upwards on just 2 or 3 sites, a large majority of the competitions were on 8 or less sites and the specialist sites (gardening, fishing etc) had competitions that related just to them - I won a gardening prize worth £699 that was only on the 2 gardening sites and numerous other prizes when they involved at most a handful of sites and generally ran a month or less.
One from a fishing mag which was the only entry routeWin a Preston Pro Type Power Pole (angling) worth £1,000
Perhaps the advertisers/sponsors of the prizes are realising that simply having a large number of entries is fairly meaningless when some of them are possibly from "pay to enter"/automated systems and some (many?) of the "real" ones are from the same people who simply enter lots of them and those people are unlikely to be a high priority target for marketing.
Someone from c2w posted about them years ago and that included something about most competitions would be featured on 8 sites or less - shame they did not stuck to that, I stopped entering them about 3 years ago when the number of entry routes just kept rising.0 -
Hi all
We've made some back-end changes to the iWon-iWon website and our other 4 sites, to help the site run better and to meet all the requirements of GDPR now, and into the future. We have also launched a new log in page. As part of our site update, we've updated our Terms and Conditions, so you'll need to re-accept these before you can enter again. You'll also need to select your Google Analytics preferences on the 'My Account' page - this is a new requirement bought in by the new GDPR laws.
Google analytics is a tool that allows companies to monitor the performance of their website. It allows them to see how many people are visiting, where in the world they come from, how they got to the site (direct or via another website), what pages are popular and so forth. It does not know who 'you' are, and nor do we know when you are on our site.
We can't force you to say yes to Google Analytics but please bear in mind that it is a very essential tool that we use daily and it would be very helpful if you did allow us to follow 'you' on our site - just remember we still won't know who 'you' is!
PLEASE ENSURE ONCE YOU HAVE AGREED TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND CHOSEN YOUR GOOGLE ANALYTICS PREFERENCE THAT YOU CLICK THE SAVE BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.
Any problems please email us notifications@iwn.io
