Buyer blocked from bidding on my item

Just had this message from buyer (900+ fbk)

I just tried to bid £20.01 on your widget but it said that you had set "buying requirements" on this item. I have never seen this before and just wondered what and why it is please? I have got a very good feedback rating and i would have bid up to £30 on this.

My "Buyer Requirements Activity Log" says she has been blocked from bidding because "Buyers without a PayPal account"

Buyer assures me she does have a Paypal account.

Anyone else had this ?, not sure if it's a new glitch or buyer telling porkies.

Yes - ebay gives instructions on how to link them, so it follows 'unlinked' must be possible.

Buyer says she has had a PP account for 10 years, looking at her feedback I'm inclined to believe her.

You can exempt their username and let them know you are as perplexed as they are. Hopefully they will bid. On the plus side if they don't have a Paypal account you may get a bank transfer. Sounds like a perfect buyer.

Sounds more like they didn't quite want to bid but now they see what price it went for they are happy to try......
