Damaged Hudl2 replace screen

I dropped my Hudl2 , cracking the screen(it wasn't a Tesco sudden crack issue). However , it won't swipe at all(even where screen is not cracked) , so it cannot be used.
I tried a hard reset , but it wont go to reset mode.It just powers up to welcome screen
So , my dilemma is , should i get replacement screen? or does the lack of swipe and any functionality mean it is internally damaged and is basically bricked ?
Thanks

You can never tell what other damage has occurred and personally I would not take the chance. I'm assuming you paid something like £130 for the device and have you priced how much it will be to replace the screen. Is it really worth repairing?

My Hudl 2 died recently and after a lot of digging about I bit the bullet and picked up a second hand one from CEX for £80, though I traded in two old Hudl ones for £30 each so it was a no brainer. By the time I'd spent good money on the non working one trying to get it going I figured I'd just get another one, the HDMI out was the decider for me in sticking with the Hudl. You could probably sell the cracked screen one on eBay and put that towards a new second hand one?

Easy for me to say, but I really wouldn't bother getting a Hudl / Hudl 2 repaired. Repair costs are similar to the big brands and yet their second hand value is far less. A cracked screen Hudl 2 will sell on eBay for about £15.

If you need to work at it before getting rid, and the digitiser isn't working any more, you could get a USB-micro USB adaptor. Plug the micro USB into the tablet, plug a mouse into the USB, and you should be able to get basic control, and wipe the thing. See also: most Android tablets.
