Have you been offered a hideous interest rate?

a) It's not a Current Account board.
b) Most of the best rates are offered by current accounts.
I agree with realaledrinker here. There is a board for savings and this post is about savings rates. It is a poor example for an MSE staff member to set by not using the correct board.
I also believe that there should be some mention of the savings amount. It easy to get relatively good rates for a few thousand pounds in current accounts but almost impossible for several thousands.
In answer to the question though my lowest rate is 1.25% with Ulster Bank.0 -

Possibly. You'd think MSE Matt (low number of posts but been around 4 years) would be able to do better.Archi_Bald wrote: »Has MSE been hacked?
Maybe everyone else at MSE Towers is on their hols?
And, in answer to Matt;
No I'm not on a 'hideous' interest rate. I put my money in accounts with the best available rates (easily found by reading MSE advice or reading the forum) as do, I expect, most of those who read this board.0
