Problem with money spending

Hi guys,
I'm currently a student at Portland State Uni. I have a part-time job as a barista at a cafe nearby.
Well, it's a well-paid job but I overspend sometimes so basically I'm always broke. Is there any tips on how to manage my spending or apps that could help me with this?

I think there's a few apps out there to help you budget better. But the best thing to do is question yourself before a purchase:
Do I need to buy this?
Is this item necessary?
If one or both answers are a no, you probably don't need to buy it

Also spending your money smarter is always a good idea, Especially on food. Food can be quite expensive but it doesn't need to be. Make sure you shop around and try to stay away from the more expensive branded goods.
