It takes Ebay a while to react - just as I would step in to stop someone being mugged in the street, if I spot fraud on Ebay I help where i can. I can afford the hit on my CC for a few days.
As Browntoa and myself have observed there is a very clear pattern of new users registering and listing items using stock images and stolen descriptions at prices that obviously go under the Paypal 'payment hold' radar.0 -

You will find when you buy, as the Paypal account isn't in the UK, the payment will be unclaimed. So pay, cancel your payment, and report to Ebay.
You'll get the usual 'the item you interested in in no longer available' message.
The scan seems to rely on people seeing the 23 to 25 postage window, and not claiming so they do a runner with the money before the claims flood in.
I have seen the same Paypal account used by 7 or 8 users, often listing at the same time.0 -

I read all the posts.
You won't stop fraud on eBay by buying all their stock, if anything you are facilitating the transaction by buying the items. Far better to ring your account manger on Paypal (if you have one) and let them know. Paypal at better are this than eBay.
Ultimately anyone buying these items on eBay will be covered. If eBay take the "hit" rather than your credit card, then perhaps eBay will sort the matter out.
If your credit card can only "take the hit for a few days" then you should not be relying on a INR or NARU taking place.
@400 transactions (as you seem to infer you've made) I would suggest you are taking more than a risk if you can only take the risk for a few days.....0 -

Please read and comprehend. The paypal payments go 'unclaimed' as the fraudsters are in not in the UK. They do not get any money. What this does is link all the users to the same Pp account so the fraudulent Pp are closed down en masse.
Think about it for a bit and read post 8 again.0 -

Think about what you wrote. If the payments go unclaimed why do you say your credit card can "take the hit". What hit?
They don't go unclaimed in all instances, as a guest, outside the UK, in a country the same as the seller...... I am outside of the UK. My payments don't go unclaimed.
Don't make sweeping statements.
Perhaps read and comprehend yourself.0
