Hi guys
Just wondering if anyone has experience with 4G routers? I have a MiFi, which is ok, but I need a faster connection now. So want to upgrade it to a proper 4G router. Anyone got recommendations?
Thanks

Are you in a 4G area? Do you get a decent 4G signal already?0

I do live in a 4G area yes.... Hence getting a 4G router0 -
I am not sure why you believe that having a "proper" 4G router will make things significantly faster. An antenna will only help if you have poor connectivity. Some mifi's have a socket for an external aerial - eg Huawei E5577.0

4G isn't that great, so a better quality SIM Router will do the trick. After some research0 -

Could do, but surely it depends on what the OPs problem is and what his expectations are. He may well be limited by the supplier or the location rather than the equipement.
I use a Huawei 5577 with an external aerial. The aerial can turn a more or less non-existant connection into one that's pretty fast.0 -

D-Link do some dedicated 4G routers/wi-fi access points with outdoor 4G LTE aerials.0 -
I have a Huawei E5186, very happy with it. Has two external antennas (with SMA sockets, so you can use your own if you wish), a built-in 4 port gigabit switch for wired devices, dual band 802.11ac WiFi and supports "4G+" up to 300Mbit/s. I get 120Mbit/s on EE.
These are readily available on eBay.0 -
Is that now replaced by the Huawei B525?0

TP-Link provide 4G-Wifi models Archer200, TL-MR6400, TL-MR3420, TL-MR3220
I have some current and some old versions of these, they work just great. I've run whole offices from 3G/4G data with minimal issues using these. Really good devices. Really simple.0 -

Fantastic, a constructive answer to my question, heheso are there any preferences with those? Or would you rate them all on par?
I have been looking at the TL-MR6400, seems pretty good.0
