Could you borrow a cat? Sounds horrible to feel your house is invaded.
Stew is in the oven and had to rush out to rescue the washing as rain came down in torrents. Think reading a book in the garden is off the agenda.
Shattered as have been unpacking parcels and hall is full of boxes to be flattened and recycled."This site is addictive!"

I'd love a cat Elona but OH hates them and I suppose he is justified as he is allergic to them. I get my cat fix on walks here, it is a very catty area, lots of cats to see and stroke here.
That kitchen one is so bold, he's just made another circuit of the kitchen, he is very like a cartoon mouse. There is nothing for him, everything is put away but I'll do another sweep to be sure. I only just cleaned everything, now he's there getting ouse germs all over when I'm not looking. We've been getting them at night but they are not mostly about in the day. He's just popped out from under the fridge again, I really don't want to put traps on the floor in the day.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -

How about borrowing one for a couple of hours just to give the mice a hint to move on?"This site is addictive!"

That's a thought Elona, I don't know the neighbours well here but there are a couple that I could speak to. One nearby family has a toddler, a new baby, a young cat and last week they got three white kittens, I am so jealous. All my life I have wanted a white kitten. I don't actually know this family, I just live close and can see. Their other cat is a naughty escapologist, sometimes sits on my gate asking for a stroke, other times behaves in exactly the same way and then he bites you.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0

AOD every time to you mention your most recent invasion I am "seeing" mice everywhere! On the odd occasion we have had a mouse I have been hysterical until we got rid. Have you, or anyone else reading along, tried one of those plug in sonic devices that is supposed to move them on? (I don't like the idea of mousetraps or poison but nor do I like the idea of mice running amok in the house!)
We have escaped the rain today so far but that dratted wind is back and blowing with a vengeance. I have just been out to fill up the bird feeders and it felt really cold in the wind. Hard to believe I was sitting out in the sunshine reading yesterday!
DD just texted to say our ballet star (middle DGD) has got her exam results and, once again, has passed with a distinction. She is attending ballet "Summer school" all next week 9.00 till 6.00 every day and is so excited as she loves dancing! She normally misses it as they are in the IOW but they are not going this year. It's a flipping expensive hobby though and grandma usually ends up contributing to all the expenses involved!
It's feet up with my book time now. I CBA doing owt else!
Enjoy the rest of the day if you can folks xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Mice don't scare me but still don't want them in my living space. We tend to get the very small field mice here, the ones with enormous ears.
I tried an humane trap once though the mice are too small and light to set them off. A real trap got one once
and now lies untouched. Don't think I've got anymore.
TA - what grand news about your twinkle toes of a GD. :T
I'm just browsing in between reading. Finally finished the whole Bob Skinner series by Quintin Jardine. I'm not going to do that again as tons of stuff was repeated in each book and I got bored with everyones personal lives, too many weddings and partner swapping (not in the bad way!) all in the same police force.
DM has had a bad day, she gets arterial fibrillation which has been on the go all day. Heartbeats are recorded on her Fitbit gadget and then sent to her tablet which she then shows her doctor. She's just got up so will probably be awake half the night.0 -

Funnily enough, when we are at the caravan (in a woodland setting) we often get them scuttling around in the awning and I can tolerate that. Well it's us invading their space isn't it? But it would be a different story if they got into the caravan! xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Mice? I think i'd have a heart attack if i saw one. The church i used to attend had them. On church cleaning i saw the evidence and that was bad enough.
Had a lovely day. Needed to talk to Youngest about a few things. Its best coming from me than his Dad. Little Miss has been golden, slept most of the time she has been here. She is just beginning to smile, such a joy to see.
As for the terrorist attack in Barcelona.... Some people are just born evil and they use the 'umbrella' of religion to justify it.

Hi chums arrived safe and sound and the sun is shining
beautiful house and we are all very pleased with it.Boys are in their element and are all playing swing ball at the moment and badminton in the very large garden. The dogs are loving the sun and the little one keeps trying to escape as I think he keeps spotting a rabbit or two. The owner left two bottles of wine some nice cheese, crusty bread and a lovely home made coffee and walnut cake , along with a nice bunch of flowers in the dining room .Well appointed house with lots of room for us all. everyone is very pleased and the wi-fi works pretty well
Off to have some dinner now
Cheers chums
