Ok I am moving out of my house tomorrow, all the furniture has gone today and I'm trying to sleep on an air bed tonight so we can finish off tomorrow and be out by 12. On top of all the stress and there has been a lot of it,we were having a cup of tea yesterday when a council van drew up outside and painted double yellow lines along the road outside my house. I just couldn't believe it,I knew there had been a consultation about it back in Febuary as signs had been put up outside on the lamp posts but then I heard nothing more and I didn't protest about it has my house house has a designated parking space and garage out the back.
I did tell the estates agents to make any potential buyers aware it may happen.but now I'm wondering if I should have put this is any paperwork I filled out for the solicitors,I don't remember there being any questions about parking outside your house and as we have the parking space out the back and garage I'm not sure if I would be legally required to tell them? I just cannot sleep at all with worrying about it. I did call the estate agents today to warn the buyers as they wouldn't be able to have the removal vans outside although the guy who did the yellow lines saying they weren't enforceable until the 21st. But there is access to my house out the back which my own removal company did use when we moved in here before people started parking out the front which has caused problems because there is a roundabout to my left and people park so close to it that's why there has been complaints. I have been parking outside myself as I'm disabled and it was easier for me to use but I knew I had no right to do it but with no yellow lines up it wasn't illegal.

Loading and unloading is permitted on single and double yellow lines, provided you do not cause an obstruction and there is no loading ban (i.e. pips / lines on the pavements). Waiting restrictions indicated by yellow lines apply to the carriageway, pavement and verge. Double yellow lines mean no waiting at any time.

But could they try to sue me as I failed to put it down on the ta6 form about any notices that could affect the property? I honestly genuinely thought that having the parking space and garage it wouldn't matter. None of my neighbours park out the front they all park out the back its only the people that live in the street round the corner that park there.0

No. Stop worrying and get some sleep! Good luck with the moving. For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0

As you were aware of the proposals, you should have answered Question 3.1 truthfully.
It's a bit late to sleep or to do that now......0 -

So, would you use your argument to avoid mentioning them as well?
Thinking about this again, if the OP never had any direct correspondence from the council regarding the parking restrictions, or any direct involvement in discussions, then it's unlikely they could be held responsible for not mentioning them in 3.1.0
