Landlord selling the house we rent

We had this happen to us two and a half years ago and the LL said he'd be selling the property as vacant so we'd have to move once exchange date confirmed.
We agreed on the provision we could give two months notice and start looking for somewhere new to rent, and we had 24 hours notice of viewings - both agreed because it's hard to find somewhere to rent in London in the area we were in. LL didn't know we used this as a motivator to move back up north as we'd been contacted two days prior about a job my partner could have back up north.
We didn't tidy for the photos any more than normal, same for viewings. We had one problem when the EA turned up and hadn't contacted us for a viewing so I refused entry and told the LL straight away.
On a brighter note for us though, our move back up north went smoothly, we're much happier and it took LL 20 months to sell - that makes me happy as he'd got bored of being a LL and wanted more money, he also had to drop the price considerably as he'd marketed the flat for £350k and got less than £300k.0 -
This is really about the quality of the relationship between the LL and the tenant developed over time. A tenant has recently given notice and I asked about photographs before she got into packing mode. She was very obliging and even offered to take them herself. She studied EA sites, removed photos, papers etc and did a really good job - she is proud of her home and the results. Obviously there was no obligation for her to do any of this, but we have a good relationship. I have some stock photos of the empty property but these look much better. For my part, allowing access for viewing is included in the lease and has all been agreed with adequate notice given. I wish my former tenant well in her new home. Sounds like your LL has not played it smartly in this case; you are only obliged to do what is in the lease and anything else is down to you being accommodating depending upon your perception of the relationship.0
